Annapurna skyline and Pokhara explore trek takes additional time to explore the cafes, monuments and local eats in Pokhara and Kathmandu making this an enjoyable holiday experience.

The Annapurna Skyline trek it’s self passes through many Gurung villages. The Gurung people are one of 60 ethnic groups in Nepal. This predominant ethnic group found in the famous British army Gurkha regiment.

The trek steps lightly through temperate terraced rice fields of the region and ascends slowly to the old growth and bamboo forests.You enjoy panoramic views of the entire Annapurna range without the physical effort most Himalayan treks require by remaining at a low altitudes. This tour is for the adventurer that has a basic level of fitness and families with active children 7 years or older.

The pinnacle of the journey is the early morning trek up Pun Hill to view the sun rise over the spectacular Annapurna range.

Manju trained under the tutelage of Peter Owens and has worked for Peter Owen’s Asian Treks since 1991. Starting out as a porter, Manju slowly worked up to become a cook and then a Sirdar (senior guide). Manju has guided all major treks in Nepal and has also trekked in India (Ladakh and Sikkim), and Tibet.

Manju has a kind and attentive nature to our groups and is very experienced at high altitude. His ability to access the clients well being and make correct informed decisions on the situation sets him above all guides we have working in Nepal.

With excellent english skills Manju is a great communicator and friend. Trained in first aid and altitude sickness diagnosis and prevention makes him a great guide to carry out our tours.

Manju attended the 5 day organized by Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP) and will be required to attend refresher courses every year.
