Shane – After trekking Kokoda for the first time fell in love with the track and it’s people. Shane has a keen military history interest spending many hours studying the battles which took place on the Kokoda track, Borneo, the Western Front and Vietnam.
Shane is a qualified and licensed outdoor reaction guide under the Australian National Training framework.
Shane has worked in the underground mining industry for the last 14 years and along with his leadership and supervisor skills comes his keen passion for safety that the mining industry now promote nil harm to it’s workforce.
Shane is well travelled through south east Asia, Africa, Nepal and Papua New Guinea and enjoys sharing the cultural and environmental joys of trekking. The satisfaction that Shane gets out of seeing the trekkers achieve their life long dream of walking Kokoda and the mate ships that are formed through trekking Kokoda are unsurpassed.
High Altitude locations of Nepal and Tanzania adds to Shane’s experience, where he loves to see the you our travellers and our team reach for the skies safely.
