Everest Base Camp is still one of the most popular locations to trek even 50+ years after the first ascent of Mt. Everest, trekkers continue to embark on this journey to the base camp of Everest.

Why just walk to Everest Base Camp when you can join Shane to explore the many stories Mount Everest has to offer along the way. Shane is a highly experienced guide and qualified wilderness guide who can assist you in your high-altitude adventures.

As you trek through the villages of the famous Sherpa people, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of snow-capped mountains that rise above the clouds. The Buddhist culture in the Khumbu valley immerses all who walk before it.

After visiting the Everest Base Camp, climb Kalapathar (18,195 ft) for an up-close view of the south face of Everest.
This extension and the main goal for our tour is to climb Island Peak. This climb is for the novice mountaineer however it requires crampons and ice axes (all supplied in our pricing) on summit day and a higher-than-average fitness. Summiting any ice-capped mountain in Nepal requires a lot of physical and mental preparation for the riggers of summit day, although our climbing sherpas are there to guide and help us up to the summit safely. Don’t be put off by this challenge however we call it the average man’s Mt Everest!!
On return to Lukla, we descend back through the Sherpa villages enjoying the culture and many cafes on the side of the trail.
Group porters are included to carry your main equipment bag. You are only required to carry a day pack. All group climbing equipment, tents, and cooking equipment for the Island Peak climb are provided and carried by our porter team.
Climber Sherpas, ropes, harnesses and ascenders are all supplied in our tour, however, you will need to hire or purchase crampon-compatible boots for the climb.
6 participants are required for the trip to be Australian-guided. Below 6 participants $1000 discount will be applied to your booking and led by our Nepalese staff.
